Back in 1999, Behr and Hella founded the joint venture Hella-Behr Fahrzeugsysteme, which was turned into a new joint venture in 2004 with Plastic Omnium, the French specialist for body components and modules. HBPO is the only company in the world which specializes in the development and production of front-end modules.These complete assembly units primarily consist of lightning technology, engine cooling components, crash-boxes, electronics, locks, air duct parts, and bumpers.HBPO now produces these modules at ten production sites in Germanyand abroad.
