Technical Press Day 2009

The automotive industry is making a transition. The market demands vehicles that consume little fuel. The buzzword is “hybridization”.

Electrification of the drive train also means that Behr will be faced with new technologies, new systems, and new challenges. At this year's Technical Press Day, we presented Behr's contributions to future cooling of temperature-sensitive Li-ion batteries, and how thermal comfort can also be ensured in hybrid and electric vehicles without losing any precious electrical energy.

The Technical Press Day took place on May 20, 2009 and covered the topic of “thermal management in hybrid vehicles” in the following presentations:

Cooling with Li-ion batters - more than just cooling
Dr. Thomas Heckenberger, Director Technology Center

Cooling for electrical vehicles with increased mileage

Dr. Simon Edwards, Head of Advanced Engineering Engine Cooling

Thermal comfort in hybrid vehicles

Peter Kroner, Head of Advanced Engineering Vehicle Air Conditioning
